My wife and I decided to take a 2-day vacay, and, while traveling to OBX from Durham, NC, the tire pressure warning light came on in our 2022 Honda CR-V. I decided to find a mechanic at the next town we came to, which happened to be Manteo. A quick Google search gave us Lighthouse Automotive, so we made our way there. The young lady at the counter, Naomi, was exceptionally friendly and seemed eager to help us. They got the CR-V up on the lift, and, sure enough, there was a huge hole in the passenger-side rear tire (see picture). Isaiah, the mechanic handling the issue, brought me out to the bay to show me the problem, and he was very thorough and informative (he was formerly a technician for Honda!) It's a miracle we didn't have a blowout! The problem was straightforward: we needed new tires...even though the ones on the car had only 18,500 miles on them :-( So, change of plans: we were staying in Manteo overnight while we waited for the new tires to arrive. The very next morning, Lighthouse had our new tires on the car, and we were back on the road! I can't express enough how grateful my wife and I are to Lighthouse for the courteous and fast service we received! They saved our little vacation to OBX, and, if you're ever in the Manteo area and need automotive service, I can't recommend Lighthouse enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
